More Beneficial Rain

After 5 to 8 inches of rain across the area in April, several additional moderate and heavy rain events have impacted the area during the first half of May.

Most of the Cape has picked up an additional 3 to 5 inches of rain since May 1st – with many locations now in excess of 9 inches of rain since April 1st. After a prolonged stretch of near and below normal precipitation, the unsettled weather has certainly done a nice job of cutting into the long-term precipitation deficit and concurrent drought conditions across Southern New England.
