After a few days of unsettled weather and cooler than average temperatures, summer weather will get back on track today.
Expect a good deal of sunshine through the day today, with just some building puffy clouds around here and there. Temperatures in the 60s this morning will jump quickly into the 70s and should top out in the upper 70s to lower and middle 80s around the Cape – with the “cooler” readings found right along the shore as light sea breezes develop over the course of the day. It will, unfortunately, remain rather humid.
The only forecast caveat to watch for today is an offshore fog bank lurking in the waters east and south of the Cape. The forecast expectation is for the strong July sunshine to keep the fog out at sea throughout the day, but it’s possible the fog could approach some shoreline spots – with the highest odds out near Monomoy.
Otherwise, if you are headed to the beach, low tide is during midday and high water comes this evening. Sunset is at 8:13PM.
