Wednesday morning’s visible satellite image shows a mix of clouds and clear skies across Southern New England. Meanwhile, radar showed a few isolated showers across the region…one of which moved across parts of the Cape between 6 and 7 o’clock this morning.
The broken cloud cover and isolated showers are a signal of a moisture-loaded atmosphere, which is also quite evident here at the surface where dew point values are stuck in the lower and middle 70s.
Such will be the theme for today’s weather…a somewhat steamy feel amid intermittent sunshine, along with the threat for a passing shower or thunderstorm (better odds – though still rather low – during the afternoon and evening).
Temperatures will peak in the 70s and lower 80s but it will feel quite a bit warmer thanks to the high humidity.
