Clouds Thicken…Maybe A Sprinkle?

A weather system sliding eastward from the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley today will encounter strengthening high pressure and increasingly dry air over the Northeast today and tonight. As a result, while this morning’s radar imagery looks rather threatening to our west, the storm’s shield of rain is expected to dry up and slip southward as it moves into Southern New England over the course of the day today.

Although clouds will tend to thicken up over the day today, meaningful wet weather is not anticipated around the area. We may encounter a few passing sprinkles or light rain showers this afternoon and evening…but overall Wednesday will remembered as a quiet, gray October day and not a wet one.
