Showers that pushed through the region yesterday signaled the return of incoming warmth and humidity to the region.
As showers, downpours, mist and drizzle lifted northward over the area throughout the day, dew point values climbed into the 60s…yielding an increasingly humid feel to the afternoon and evening. That muggy feel stuck around overnight and continues today.
While yesterday’s wet weather has lifted north of the area, the increasing moisture in the atmosphere has led to a thick deck of low clouds and fog around the area this morning – one which will be slow to thin out today.
Thankfully, the muggy feel will be short-lived this go around as a cold front is making steady progress eastward and will cross through New England tonight and Monday.
