A weak, fast-moving low pressure center will scoot out to sea south of New England today, sending a batch of clouds and light rain through our area.
While the brunt of this system’s wet weather will remain to our south, we should see a few hours of light rain around the area this afternoon and this evening.
The combination of cloudy skies, an easterly breeze and incoming moisture will make for a rather chilly and somewhat dreary start to the work week.
Unfortunately, while the main shield of precipitation will quickly pull away from the area this evening, a chilly, moist northeast flow of air will linger over the region tonight and Tuesday, keeping clouds in the forecast and holding temperatures in the 40s to near 50F.
