Pockets of Light Snow Again Today

A moist flow of Atlantic air in the low levels of the atmosphere combined with some cold temperatures over the region is yielding a thick deck of low clouds and intermittent flurries and pockets of very light snow again today.

Short-term model guidance suggests this activity will expand in coverage and intensity a bit over the course of the day today, so don’t be surprised to see a few hours of steadier light snow around the area.

While total accumulations shouldn’t be a big deal (a coating to perhaps as much as an inch or so in some spots), some icy spots on area roadways are certainly possible – similar to what some areas saw on Sunday.
