Low pressure passing well to the east of the region is bringing us a snowy, windy and cold Tuesday.
Snow – at varying intensities…sometimes falling rather lightly but sometimes coming down at a good clip – will continue through the morning hours and into midday before slowly winding down and tapering to flurries and passing snow showers this afternoon. Total snowfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected across the Cape.
Anticipate a slow go of it this morning as last night’s rain and wet snow is freezing up with the falling temperatures, making for icy, snow-covered roads in spots. Likewise, gusty north winds are helping to reduce visibilities at times.
Temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s prior to dawn will fall back a few more degrees this morning and then level off in the 20s and hold steady through much of the day.
