High pressure is building eastward into New England and will crest over the region tonight and Tuesday. Beneath this fair weather center, skies are starting to clear out Monday afternoon and busy north winds are slowly relaxing. This trend will continue into Monday night and will set the stage for a rather cool late June night.
The combination of clear skies, light winds and dry air will allow temperatures to drop back rather quickly and efficiently tonight, bringing low temperatures into the lower and middle 50s across most of the Cape. However, a few “lucky” spots may even dip into the 40s for a time very late tonight and into the near dawn hours of Tuesday.
The average low temperature for the date at Hyannis is 60F.
