Clouds gave way to afternoon sunshine on Wednesday, but temperatures remained on the chilly side of things. Highs across the region only topped out in the upper 50s and lower 60s thanks to a cool air mass over the Northeast and a light wind off the water. These temperatures were about 10F below the average for the date.
While there aren’t any immediate signs of a big pattern shift to well above normal temperatures, we will see a bit of moderation in the coming days with temperatures returning to at and above normal readings. After peaking in the 60s today, we should see readings crack 70F tomorrow and climb to the upper 60s to middle 70s on Saturday.
