A deck of low clouds, some patches of fog and some intermittent mist, is shifting over a good chunk of the area this morning, resulting in a gray start to Thursday.
However, this area of moisture is shifting eastward and at the same time is thinning out as the morning goes on and the sun gets higher in the sky.
As a result, we can expect brightening skies (where the sun isn’t already shining) this morning with increasing amounts of blue sky and sunshine as we move through the morning hours and into midday…with partly to mostly sunny skies anticipated for the midday and afternoon hours.
Temperatures in the middle and upper 70s this morning will climb into the 80s across most of the Cape this afternoon – though a gusty southwest wind may hold some south-side beaches closer to 80F. It will be very humid through the day, with dew point values in the middle 70s (Florida-like)…making “feels-like” temperatures climb to the 90s at times.
