September Finishing Off on a Wet Note

Downpours moved through the region during mid-week and brought a good soaking rain to the area. A follow-up wave of low pressure pushed through our area on Friday and delivered a second round of downpours during midday, yielding a widespread 1 to 2 inch rainfall to the Cape. For the month, most of the Cape has seen 3 to 5 inches of precipitation…which brings yearly totals to between 35 and 45 inches thus far (a 12-month average for Hyannis is about 48 inches of precipitation).
