A frontal zone sliding across the area brought us some showers first thing this morning and has left us with a gray sky to start our weekend. However, satellite imagery this morning shows the thickest cloud cover shifting southeastward and suggests some partial clearing will develop over the course of the morning and midday hours.
This matches up well with model guidance which portrayed a gray morning but partly sunny skies during Saturday afternoon. Temperatures in the 50s to around 60F this morning should reach the lower 60s for highs.
A follow-up pocket of energy will cross the region tonight and first thing Sunday morning, bringing us another round of shower activity…followed by cool temperatures and a gusty wind Sunday afternoon.
