2018 will close out with another round of heavy rain, tacking on a bit more precipitation to our 2018 totals.
Since this time last year, just about the entire Cape has seen in excess of 50 inches of precipitation…with most spots pushing over the 55 inches mark, and many locations nearing and exceeding 60″ of total precipitation. In fact, according to the CoCoRaHS network of observers, some spots on the Cape are well over 60 inches.
In an “average” year…most of the Cape sees between 45 and 50 inches of total precipitation.
