Get ready for all types of weather compressed into a short time period!
Here’s a look at the expected snowfall forecast for the area for the upcoming storm system.
Here on the Cape…we can expect snow flurries and snow showers today to continue off and on…eventually becoming a steadier light snow later in the evening. Precipitation will then transition to sleet and rain, with rain taking over shortly thereafter.
Rain will continue, heavy at times through much of the day on Sunday before transitioning back to sleet, maybe some freezing rain, and snow before ending Sunday night. Ultimately, not much in the way of accumulation is anticipated locally…with perhaps a coating to an inch or so of snow tonight…followed by a similar amount Sunday evening.
Higher snowfall totals will be found off-Cape…however even there precipitation will mix with and change to sleet, ice and eventually rain for a time.
