Snow moved into the area during the early afternoon hours on Tuesday and quickly became a moderate to heavy snow around the area. However, seemingly just as quickly, the snow began to mix with sleet and it ultimately went over to rain during the evening hours. A general 1 to 3 inches of snow fell across the Cape.
Overnight, rain fell off and on and there were a few embedded elements of heavier rain at times. All told, this system left behind around 1 to 1.25 inches of total precipitation to the area.
