Drier air is building into the region on the backside of Monday’s storm system and will yield a quieter weather day today versus what we saw yesterday.
Expect mostly sunny skies through the day today with temperatures climbing into the middle 50s across the area – which is right about where we “should be” this time of year (the average high temperature at Hyannis on April 16th is 55F). If we’re fortunate, a few locations may reach the upper 50s.
The main downside to the day’s weather will be a very busy west and northwest wind which will persist throughout most of the daylight hours. Expect annoying gusts of 25 to 35 mph to steal some of the warmth away.
