While in the big picture / long-term perspective, we are certainly doing fine rainfall-wise, it’s been a bit dry of late. Through yesterday, Hyannis had picked up just .23″ of rainfall through the first 10 days of June. This time of year, a run of 7 to 10 days of dry conditions can easily become noticeable on area lawns thanks to the high sun angle. If you have a lawn, garden or flowerbeds, chances are good you found yourself watering in recent days.
Thankfully, we got a good dose of well-timed rain (still some showers/downpours to go through Tuesday morning) last night into the early morning hours on Tuesday, with a solid 1/2 to 1 inch of rain around most of the area thus far.
