Upper Low Still Nearby

Tuesday August 12, 2008 06:27 AM

The pesky upper level storm center that has brought nearly daily bouts of showers and thunderstorms to New England the last several days is now positioned right over Cape Cod as of Tuesday morning. The system is ever so slowly pushing east out into the Atlantic.

While the storm center will head away from the area over the course of the day, we will remain under its influence into this evening, with a cyclonic spin aloft continuing to aid in the development of showers and thunderstorms. Should we see a prolonged period of sunshine during the day today, storms later this afternoon and this evening could be on the strong side once again. Keep an eye to the sky and monitor the local radar.
