Not as Chilly Saturday.

Southerly Winds, Milder Air, Return Saturday
Our blast of bitterly, record-setting, cold will release its grip on our area Friday night and Saturday. After holding in the upper 10s during most of the day on Thursday and struggling to get back to the freezing mark on Friday, we can expect a moderating trend in time for the weekend.

With high pressure shifting offshore, winds will flip around to a southerly direction during the day on Saturday, propelling milder air northward into the region and allowing temperatures to climb back toward more typical values for this time of year (40s to around 50F).

Unfortunately, with the arrival of milder air will come an increase in cloudiness over the course of the day and eventually another round of rain and wind Saturday night.
