After some warm and muggy weather on Saturday, the weekend finished out a bit on the cool side as intermittent cloud cover and a northerly breeze capped temperatures in the middle 60s on Sunday. Even so, yesterday’s weather wasn’t all that bad around the area and really set the stage for some very nice weather to kick off the work week.
Skies cleared out overnight and temperatures fell into the 50s – even some upper 40s in a few spots. Yesterday’s northerly breeze shifted to a more offshore direction and drier air built in from the west.
As a result, expect plenty of sunshine throughout the day today as high pressure heads eastward and dominates the weather over the eastern half of the country. Temperatures in the 50s to start the day will climb quickly through the 60s during the morning hours and reach into the lower to middle 70s for afternoon highs. A comfortable northwest breeze will add a refreshing feel to the air.
