Thursday’s passing showers and gray overcast gradually shifted away from the area overnight but didn’t make too much progress southward. As a result, high cloudiness continues to stream across the region this morning – and that will be the general theme for most of today and tomorrow. Expect times of sunshine to be interrupted by passing high thin cloud cover…with a slow increase in the thickness and coverage over the next 24 hours. Friday and Saturday are currently looking like the better half of the holiday weekend, with wet weather and cool temperatures expected on Sunday.
