It's also (to nobody's surprise) been remarkably warm. 17 days now at Chatham with a low temperature at or above 70F this summer (today likely makes 18). Already most in the site's period of record

Chatham now at 20 straight days with no rain, just .05" in the last 30 days and only .49" since the start of July. Impacts starting to be visible (beyond the obvious brown lawns) in shrubs and forest undergrowth.
