Milder

High pressure shifting through and offshore of the Southeast United States has allowed winds to flip around to the southwest. Those southwest winds are pushing Tuesday and Wednesday’s cold air out to sea and dragging milder air northward into the region.

With that in mind, Thursday is shaping up to be a much nicer day around the area. Some cloud cover crossing the region first thing this morning (indicative of the milder air advancing into the region) will push eastward and offshore quickly this morning and leave us with clear skies through the remainder of the day. Temperatures will jump out of the 30s and into the 40s by mid-morning and readings will top out in the upper 40s and lower 50s this afternoon.

We should tack on a few more degrees to those afternoon temperatures tomorrow.
