Expect fair skies but chilly mid-winter like temperatures today and tonight.
We’ve started our Thursday in the lower 20s from Hyannis westward to the Canal…and more like 25 to 30F from Hyannis eastward to Chatham and out to Provincetown. Temperatures won’t rise all that much today despite partly to mostly sunny skies. Look for high temperatures generally in the lower to middle 30s around the Cape. For perspective, average highs for December 7th are in the upper 40s – 47F at Hyannis.
It’ll be another cold one tonight with widespread 20s expected across the Cape. If winds can slacken off enough, some spots may dip under 20F by Friday morning.
Looking for milder weather? Southerly winds will take hold later on Friday and persist through the weekend, sending temperatures in the 50s on Saturday and well into the 50s on Sunday with mainly dry weather expected.
