Tuesday is shaping up to be the pick of the week weather-wise. After Sunday night’s wet weather, cloud cover and fog lingered for a good chunk of Monday but did eventually give way to some afternoon sunshine. The cloud cover and associated damp conditions were associated with a warm front that passed through the region during the day on Monday. You could feel the difference in the air during the afternoon hours as mild and somewhat humid conditions took hold. Temperatures topped out in the upper 50s to middle 60s – but it felt mild with the dew point approaching 60F. While the air mass has dried out some, mild conditions remain in place today and the addition of an offshore wind and sunshine from start to finish will set us up for a very nice day today. Expect temperatures to climb well into the 60s across the entire Cape with many spots nearing or even passing 70F during the midday and early afternoon hours. Enjoy it!
