We had a very wide range in temperatures across the area yesterday, all thanks to the wind direction. Parts of the Upper Cape passed 80F (82F in Falmouth) while an onshore wind meant some areas of the Outer Cape failed to reach 70F (Provincetown topped out at just 67F). Despite the cooler Outer Cape temperatures, it was a nice afternoon across the entire area with lots of sunshine after the morning and midday cloud cover shifted away. Today will be another very nice June day, albeit a bit cooler region-wide. The onshore wind has penetrated further inland and will result in more of a marine influence across the area…holding temperatures in the 65 to 70F range for most spots.
