Humid air has been anchored in place over the region since last week, with dewpoints peaking in the lower 70s over the weekend. Thankfully, a frontal boundary is finally making solid progress across the Northeast and will push across our area during the day today. Gusty southwest winds will switch around to the west and eventually northwest and dewpoints will fall back into the 60s and eventually head for the 50s tonight and tomorrow. Along with the lowering humidity and wind switch, we’ll scour out the low cloud cover and fog and see a return of sunshine and blue sky.
