A large area of showers and thunderstorms emerging off the Mid-Atlantic coast is shifting toward our area this morning. This batch of wet weather will approach the Cape and Islands from the south and attempt to overrun our area during the course of the morning hours. However, the brunt of the moisture is moving more eastward than northward and is expected to shift just south of the area. Even so showers / downpours are a good bet for a time later this morning into midday, with the highest odds the more south someone is on the Cape. It’ll be mild and actually rather humid as dewpoint values sit in the 60s.
