After a brief respite from the humidity, southwest winds have resumed and are pumping muggy air back into the region. These southwest winds are coming out ahead of an approaching frontal zone which will pass through the Northeast and New England tonight, shifting offshore Thursday morning.
Along and ahead of this boundary, numerous showers and thunderstorms are likely across the Northeast. Here on the Cape, there’s a low risk for an isolated storm this evening, followed by better chances for downpours and some rumbles of thunder during the overnight hours. You can see on the simulated radar imagery for late tonight, numerous showers around the region…suggesting odds for wet weather are decent tonight.
