A departing but strengthening low pressure system will combine with incoming high pressure to create a very blustery day on Thursday. Westerly winds will increase later today and blow strongly throughout the night tonight and right through the day tomorrow. We can expect widespread and frequent wind gusts over 35 mph throughout the period with some occasional gusts to 40 to 50 mph. It’s likely some exposed shoreline spots on the Outer Cape approach 55 mph at times. We’ll likely see some pockets of limb damage and thus a few brief power disruptions around the area.
