Clouds will lower and thicken through the day today and some flurries and light snow will break out near or not long after sundown. A steady light to moderate snow will develop thereafter and continue for a good chunk of the night. As we approach morning, warmer air – both at the surface and aloft – will start to overtake the area, bringing a transition to sleet and rain and then plain rain. Rain – heavy at times – will continue throughout much of the day on Sunday. Prior to the changeover, most of the Cape should see a couple / few inches of snow, which will cause some slick travel overnight tonight.
