Touch of Snow Possible Tonight
February 11, 2025 • By capecodweatherLow pressure pushing through the Mid-Atlantic states (and bringing another decent snowfall to that part of the nation) will slide eastward and offshore tonight. While the brunt of the moisture associated with this system will stay well south of the area, the northern most fringe of the precipitation shield may graze the area for a time tonight, resulting in some light snow or flurry activity. The best bet for seeing any accumulating snow is out on Nantucket where a couple of inches of fluffy snow is possible. Here on the Cape, spots along the south side of the region – from Chatham westward to Falmouth/Woods Hole – have the best chance of getting into some very light snow and could see a light dusting overnight. The National Blend of Models precipitation forecast does a nice job of illustrating situation, with measurable precipitation just barely scraping the south coast of New England.
