Drying Out

A cold front is cutting across the region today, sweeping from west to east across the Northeast and New England. This frontal zone brought some early morning downpours to the area, which deposited about 1/3 to 2/3 inches of rain around the Cape. On the backside of the cold front, drier air is working its way into the region today and will remain in place throughout the upcoming weekend. Temperatures over the weekend won’t be too far from average – though it’ll turn cooler on Sunday as a secondary surge of chilly air builds into the region. Our next shot at meaningful precipitation will come Monday, when some rain is likely to spread through the area.
