Dry air has been hanging on strong across the region, keeping cloud cover suppressed to our south the last few days. That said, winds are shifting, moisture is on the increase and we can expect increasing amounts of cloud cover around the area over the next several days. Notice on this cross section of relative humidity, more in the way of purple shaded colors showing up over the next 24 to 48 hours – indicative of deeper moisture and thus a higher likelihood for some cloud cover. This particular plot shows and abundance of moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere, suggesting a good chance for low cloud cover and fog at times.
