We finally busted out into the warm air. Temperatures will be near 80F today with dew points in the lower 70s – making it feel quite uncomfortable.
A cold front sliding into the region will set off showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening across the Northeast / New England…with decent odds for some strong to severe storms. Most, if not all, of that activity will stay to our north and west with only a small threat for an evening/nighttime shower or fizzling thunderstorm locally.
The humid air will get swept out to sea tonight, setting the stage for a mild and much less muggy day on Friday.
