Unseasonably mild air has built into the Northeast and will remain in place through the end of the week and into the first part of the weekend.
After reaching the middle and upper 60s on Wednesday, temperatures only fell back to 55 to 60F overnight – those temperatures are close to our average daytime high for this time of year. Such a mild start, combined with a light offshore wind and a decent amount of sunshine will propel temperatures up to around 70F this afternoon across the Cape, with some spots likely climbing into the lower 70s.
Similarly mild temperatures are expected Friday and Saturday.
