A storm system missing our area to the southeast will yank down a chunk of cold air into New England tonight. After climbing to the lower 40s today, winds will become north and northwesterly during the late afternoon and evening hours and strengthen, dropping temperatures into the 30s and then ultimately the 20s late tonight. Readings on Friday will struggle to recover – stuck in the lower and middle 30s around the area with a gusty breeze diminishing over the course of the day.
