While most of the atmosphere is quite dry today, with very low humidity levels extending throughout the column, a layer of deeper moisture is sitting right in the lowest levels of the atmosphere promoting a deck of low clouds around the area this morning. This deck of low cloudiness will slowly break apart and drift southward over the course of the morning, allowing for increasing amounts of blue sky and sunshine to appear as the morning hours progress into the midday and early afternoon hours. Unfortunately, that bank of low cloudiness will never totally break apart and as light north winds become south this afternoon, clouds may return later in the day.
