A two week stretch of humidity – dating back to July 4th – will finally come to an end later today and tonight. A surface cold front is crossing the region today and will eventually head offshore, pushing the muggy air out to sea. Dewpoint temperatures this morning are still in the 70s, however, much more comfortable air is pushing south and eastward from the Great Lakes and Canada and is headed our way. Much much better conditions will arrive tonight and you’ll really notice the difference tomorrow, when dewpoint values head into the 50s and lower 60s.
