Precipitation will overspread the area Friday afternoon and night – the result of a strengthening offshore storm center – and bring us a period of rain and snow for the first half of the night, with precipitation likely flipping to all snow at times around the area. Temperatures are going to be quite marginal (lower and middle 30s) throughout the event, and steady precipitation is not expected to last all that long, so accumulations should be rather light (a coating to an inch in spots?).
