Thursday Snow
February 6, 2025 • By capecodweatherAnother fast-moving low pressure center will cut across the region Thursday – in similar fashion to Sunday Night – bringing us a period of snow, sleet and rain Thursday. Expect precipitation (snow) to overspread the area during the morning hours (likely after most of the AM drive is complete) and for snow to fall steadily for a few hours mid to late morning before some sleet starts to mix in around midday or so. Not long after (midday to early afternoon) precipitation should go over to light rain and then eventually taper off during the afternoon. Like the other night, a general 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected across the Cape. If you are traveling north and west, use care as temperatures will remain several degrees colder and thus more sleet and freezing rain is expected Thursday afternoon (as opposed to plain rain) and could make for some difficult travel conditions.
