Clouds associated with a passing upper air disturbance and an approaching cold front will swing through the area this morning and offshore this afternoon – so expect improving sky cover as the day goes on. Unfortunately, with the clearing sky will come a resumption of strong northwest winds. While we won’t be quite as gusty as Friday (numerous power outages across the Northeast during the day yesterday) we can expect gusts of 30 to 45 mph to develop later this afternoon and continue into tonight. That, along with cool temperatures, will make it feel rather chilly later today and tonight.
