A cold front swept across the area on Tuesday and ushered in a shot of very chilly air by early/mid-April standards. Temperatures fell into the upper 20s and lower 30s across a good chunk of the Cape overnight (and well down into the 20s across interior portions of the region). That, combined with a strong gusty northwest wind, sent wind chill values into the 10s and will make for a pretty uncomfortable start to Wednesday. Thankfully, offshore winds, dry air and April sunshine will help offset the cold airmass and allow temperatures to eventually work their way back into the 40s this afternoon.
