A pocket of upper level energy will rotate across the region today and shift offshore tonight. This upper air disturbance, combined with daytime heating and a little bit of moisture pooling up in the atmosphere, will help induce cloud development over the course of the day and maybe a few isolated showers and t-storms across Southern New England. It’s possible one or two of these showers rotates across the Cape during the afternoon hours.
