Clouds have returned and rain is once again on our doorstep – and once again poorly timed as we head into the weekend. Showers will gradually overspread the area later today and tonight and are likely to become a steady rain tonight into Saturday. Embedded elements of heavy rain are possible in spots and by the time precipitation tapers down Saturday night, some spots will have picked up 1 to 2 inches of rain.
Thankfully, we won’t be dealing with the excessive rainfall amounts that locations to our south and west will experience. Places around NYC are going to be dealing with serious flooding issues as heavy rain trains over the city throughout the day today. Some spots will pick up over 5″ of rain (conservatively speaking?).
