The slow moving upper level low stuck near the region brought a variety of weather to the region on Monday. One minute the sun was shining brightly with deep blue skies, the next minute ominous skies and downpours would pass through the region. It was hit or miss throughout the day…neighborhood to neighborhood.
The upside to the unsettled weather was the great sky cover. The presence of cold air aloft and low level moisture allowed clouds to build vertically with ease, creating big puffy cumulus and stratocumulus clouds throughout the day set against a nice blue sky aloft.
Expect a similar look at times today as the same weather system lurks nearby.
