A steady, sometimes heavy, rain spread into the area Wednesday night and persisted through the day on Thursday…yielding a pretty ugly day around the area. While precipitation tapered off during the late afternoon hours, skies remained cloudy overnight and periodic mist, drizzle and fog lingered through the night. Unfortunately, that same general theme will persist through the day today – gray and dank.
Rainfall totals around the area were generally between 1 and 2 inches…bringing monthly rainfall totals across the Cape to a general 4 to 6 inches.
