Light steady snow developed overnight and continues early this morning. 1 to 2 inches of snow has fallen across the area as of 6AM, with steady light snow expected for the next hour or two. Local radar shows a changeover line (to sleet, freezing rain and rain) not far to our south and that changeover line will advance steadily northward over the next few hours, ensuring any snow goes over to mixed precipitation and then plain rain during the morning hours, with off and on rain and mist/drizzle expected for a good chunk of the day. Temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s first thing this morning will climb into the 40s as milder ocean air invades the region. However, as this weak storm center passes our area this afternoon and evening, winds will shift to the west and cold air will return, sending temperatures quickly back down into the 30s this evening and then down into the 20s tonight.
