March doing March things. A strong low pressure center passing to our east will keep clouds, wind and rain going for a good chunk of the day today…with only sloooow improvement expected over the course of the afternoon hours. With temperatures aloft cooling over the course of the morning hours and still some steady and heavier precipitation destined to rotate over the area, it’s possible a few snow flakes even mix in with the rain at times. You can track the progress of the rain right here.

Northerly, and eventually northwesterly, winds will gust to 40 mph at times throughout the day and into the evening hours, adding to the unpleasantness.

The good news is – today is the last of the murky weather for a while. Drier air will finally take hold this evening and will remain in place through the weekend. The result will be much better weather Saturday and Sunday, albeit still on the cool and windy side.
